Dear People of the Funny Brain World,
This is my first entry, and I will be writing about various "funny brains" in the world. These include attention deficit disorder (ADD), learning disabilities (LD, and there are several kinds), and mild traumatic brain injury. What is interesting about this area of study is that many people go undiagnosed for a long time, especially if a person is smart. They manage to get by in a variety of ways-- like having the girlfriend write the paper for me; choosing to give an oral presentation rather than writing a paper, or having a secretary read something for the person.
Of course with ADD and LD, these are from birth. With traumatic brain injury (TBI), the dynamics are different , since this has been acquired in one's current life.
